In history, the most well known era concerning the 'Rebirth of Knowledge' is clearly, The Renaissance. Taking advantage of the fact that the church took less control over knowledge in general, the people of the Renaissance rediscovered knowledge from the past and decided to see for themselves their world around them, without solely relying on the church's unproved ideas which were claimed to be facts of how everything worked. Leonardo Da Vinci, the man who best fit the characteristics of being a self relying man, viewed the world differently than others, with his never ending curiosity. Known as an outstanding artist, drawing few of the most famous artworks of the world, such as The Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, Da Vinci was also qualified as a musician, inventor, sculptor, writer, anatomist, engineer, mathematician, botanist, scientist and architect. Da Vinci used his knowledge and contributed immensely to the Renaissance, by inventing and sketching amazing designs no one else could ever think of. His countless inventions support the fact of him being a true Renaissance man. After all, The Renaissance, was all about rediscovery and discovery of new ideas.
